Innocence Search [Aemi and Yoite]

Yoite seemed to have calmed down now, and simply laid there in the darkness of the bed. There were no more sounds, other then his breathing, to indicate he was still under there. Despite how frantic he was, he took out his note book and began to write down in the dark. It was something he was use to, so he could do it without having to see now.

After writing down a few pages of the events that had taken place, he closed the journal and slowly began to crawl out from under the bed. he seemed more collected now, like he previously was, and sat up to look around. He was in a small room with two beds, so he would probably be forced to stay here with another person. Since he was not particularly fond of people, he turned to face her and closed his eyes. "If I am to stay here, may I request a solitary room...?"

Aemi watched him as he recollected himself and stayed silent, sitting back on the other bed. She waited for him to finally speak once more, looking around once more. When he finally did speak, he had asked something about being in a solitary room. She blinked slightly and nodded.

"If that's what you request to make your stay more comfortable, I'd be glad to do so -- I can settle you in a suite so that you won't need to share." she smiled lightly as she looked back out the window, "It's gonna be dark out soon... do you want something to eat?"

Silence dropped once more within the room, as he contemplated on what his first meal in the week would be. It had to be something good, and easily digestible so he wouldn't get sick. After a few moments of contemplation, he opened his eyes and sat up on his bed as well. "Rice, fried eggs, and some Ramen please..." He said in a low timid voice, hoping to himself that it wasn't too much to ask for.

Despite his scrawny look, he had a rather capable body, and ate quite a lot when he got the chance to. But as of recently, he was forced to live on his ow and begin his journey into the world. Something every bookman needed to do to be successful.

Aemi nodded as she immediately got to her feet, "Alright, I'll be right back." she left the room quickly as she headed down the hallway and toward the cafeteria on the first floor. She waited patiently in the elevator before arriving into the Dining Hall, where she then went and ordered the food quickly. When it was brought out onto the table, she picked it up quickly and headed back up.

She waited once more in the elevator as she made her way to the third floor, and as the doors opened, she then headed toward his temporary dorm. She then opened the door quietly and put the food down on the table next to his bed. She sat back down and looked back out the window before speaking.

"The food here is really good, so hopefully you find it to your liking." she spoke, laughing slightly.

Once she had arrived back into the room, she found that he was sitting on the window, with his feet dangling out of it. He seemed to be deep in thought, simply watching the moon as a flew birds flew past it, looking like mere shadows in flight. It made him happy to see such a thing, it truly did. It had been a long time since he had enjoyed such a beautiful sight, or at least he thought it was beautiful, so he decided to record it in his personal journal.

Just as he had sat back down on his bed to write, he found that she had entered and left his foot at the small table in the room. Rather then writing then, he got up and walked over to the table, pulling out the chair to sit down and prepare to eat. He took up the fork then, and with his right hand the plate. He brought the plate up to his mouth and began to eat a bit hungrily, using the fork as quickly as he could.

Once he had finished eating his meal, he set the plates down and his fork. For a split moment, it seemed like he was about to fall out of his chair, but instead, he closed his eyes and cleared his throat a little, trying to make the silence a bit less awkward before he chose to speak. Seeing as how she was still seeming to be watching the window, he felt a bit more at ease and spoke to her once more. "Thank you for the food." He said calmly, hoping she wouldn't make such a fuss over the fact that he had thanked her for the first time, something he felt was respectful.

Aemi nodded as she looked back at him, smiling slightly as he had thanked her. She then looked toward the clock, "Your welcome..." she trailed off for a moment as she yawned slightly, "I should head to sleep though... you're welcome to do anything within the Order, so don't feel shy about going to the library, or the lounge or Dining Hall or anything. It's your new home after all. If you need anything, I'm in room 013."

She got herself up and looked in the mirror for a split second, seeing a small scar on her face. Narrowing her eye, she rubbed at it lightly, feeling as it stung from her touch. She wasn't quite sure where it had came from, but she wasn't going to worry about it for the moment. She started to head toward the door, waving goodbye to Yoite.

Yoite waited until the door had fully closed before finally tipping over and collapsing onto the floor. It wasn't good. No doubt that the Earl was going to find him there at any moment or day now, he simply couldn't stay there anymore. But, he was still too weak from his travels to attempt to escape. For now, it seemed, that he would have to stay and regain his strength, then, he would leave and set off once more.

After a few moments of laying there on the floor, he grew terribly sleepy. Seeing as how there where two beds, he got up and dusted his coat off. He then took one of the beds and moved it closer to the other, this way, he had a bigger bed. With this having been done, he sat down on the edge of the bed and removed his shoes and coat, then slowly removed his gloves. His hands weren't burnt at the moment, so he was safe. After removing his hat, he set it down on the table and then laid down on the beds, pulling the covers and blankets over himself.

For tonight, he was going to enjoy the comfort of a warm bed. So he was going to enjoy every moment of it.

Aemi had headed up to her room, where she then sat on her bed. She could see that Devi was still out on a mission, so she didn't have to be in bed by any certain time. She sighed, watching as the moon started to rise from the window. As she undressed and got into a silk, short gown, she sat on her bed, just looking around at the dim lit room.

She felt slightly lonesome without Devi's company, and she felt completely conflicted with herself for acting so strange. She was alway seen as a cold person who never talked to anyone ever, but her sympathy for new exorcists always seemed to give her soft spots for them. She felt angry with herself for becoming so friendly with them -- it felt wrong of her to do, because she didn't want to allow herself to be so easily manipulated like that.

Shaking it off, she decided not to worry about it for the night. She crawled into her bed before turning the lamp off and started to drift to sleep, feeling the presence of a nightmare begin in her mind as she tossed and turned for the entire night.

The night passed by rather quickly for Yoite, as he enjoyed an uninterrupted night for the first time in a long time. He had rather happy dreams of himself enjoying a cub of green tea, simply sitting on a mat outside on a garden of beautiful grass, flowers, and sakura blossoms. It seemed perfect, despite its odd tranquility, and was the first peaceful dream he had ever had.

When morning arose, he awakened to find a few beams of light shining onto his closed eyes, which disturbed him greatly. Rather then closing the blinds, he turned onto his stomach and pulled the covers over his head, hoping it was enough to keep the sun from annoying him. Unsurprisingly, it didn't do much but cause the light to distort a bit within the covers.

Finally giving up, Yoite sat up and closed the blinds, then did a few simple stretched and got out of bed. Once he was on the edge of the bed, he put his shoes back on, then his coat and hat before finally walking out of the room to look around. It would do for a good experience to look around the old castle, especially since he had once read an entry on the very place.

Aemi awoke that morning, feeling a nerve-wrecking sickness in the pit of her stomach. She rubbed her eyes as she yawned, closing the blinds quickly as she then got out of her gown and showered in her bathroom. As she returned out, she dried her hair and got dressed in her usual Exorcist outfit. She knew very well she would be heading out to kill Akuma that were in a near by city. She felt nervous, mostly because of the nightmares she had.

She walked out of her room, heading down the hallway slowly toward the elevator. She was rather hungry and decided to go down to the Dining Hall to get some breakfast before she left. She still felt very uncertain of herself though. There was an ongoing conflict within her and it wouldn't leave her alone.

After traveling the entire castle library, he grew bored and went to the engineering room out of mere curiosity, here, eh wandered around until he found his revolvers, then took them and sneaked back out into the corridors. With his weapons in hands, he truly had no reason to stay, but he wasn't well enough to be traveling on his own again. So instead, he wandered around some more.

Once he had reached the dining room, he felt frozen and stopped at the door, lowering his gaze onto the floor in mere fear of being picked on Despite the fact he had his weapons, he didn't feel as if he could take on anyone in the room, given his current condition, and the fact he was out numbered greatly.

Aemi made her way into the halls outside the Cafeteria and saw that Yoite was standing there. She blinked slightly in confusion, seeing as she doesn't recall him leaving his room that morning. She shook it off though and walked over to him nonchalantly as she looked into the Dining Hall.

"You okay?" she asked him, noticing the nervous expression on his face. She saw that it was full of the finders and exorcists drinking their coffee and what not. She knew that he was probably nervous about the entire thing; being around so many strangers -- or people in general, and being taken on such short notice.

He took a step back then, feeling much more intimidated now that she had arrived. Although she was the only familiar face he could see, it made it worse. Now he had to worry about her being there as well. Hearing her speak finally put the icing on the cake, causing him o grow too scared to go in any further.

Rather then replying then, he turned and closed his eyes tightly with regret. It wasn't something he felt often, but he felt horrible that he wasn't brave enough to go mingle with the other members. So then, he had decided to simply leave and starve in his room. He pushed open the door, and then headed out.

Aemi frowned as she sighed, getting in line so that she could get her food... as well as Yoite's. She knew this was going to take some time for him getting used to, so she might as well make things easier for him. When she finally got out of line, she started to walk out of the Dining Room and headed toward the elevator to go to the third floor.

When she walked through the third floor hallways, she found his dorm and opened it as quietly as possible, peeking inside to see if he was in there, "I brought you some food... are you there?" she asked gently, unsure if he was going to reply.

Once he had climbed up all the stairs and made his way into his room, he stopped and stood outside of hsi door. He felt awkward suddenly, and realized that he was standing in front of someone else room. He blushed a bit and then walked off, wandering around the corridor until he had at least found the room he had stayed in.

Juts as he had made it in, he found that the door had opened and someone was creeping in. Fearing it was the Earl, he jumped up and used the energy blades on his revolvers to claw into the ceiling, and stay hidden. He waited silently for the figure to walk in deeper, only for it to be Aemi. He was a bit relieved, yet confused, but decided not to question what she was doing. Instead, he undid the blades on his revolvers and fell, landing softly to the right of her.

Aemi saw that Yoite was holding his blades toward her, as though he didn't see who she was, or recognize her at least. When he lowered them at the sight of her, she sheepishly smiled as she walked forward. she put one of the trays of food down on his nightstand and then backed up a bit so that he could get it if he was hungry enough.

"I brought you some food... I figured you were hungry still... if you ever need anything, you can always come by." she breathed in, speaking nervously. "I'm sorry if I scared you," she looked away and then slowly turned around. She knew he hated her company probably, so she walked away quickly, toward the door.

Since he was too shy to stop her, he allowed her to leave, and sat down on his bed. He felt a bit lonesome now, but it was a normal feeling, so he cast it aside and decided to eat. Before he could pick up his spoon, however, he felt a sharp pain run through his hands and winced. He removed both his gloves quickly, and found the burns on his hands were beginning to react to nearby innocence, no doubt an Akuma had appeared. Without wasting a single second, he got up and opened his window, then jumped out.

As he went into a free fall, he drew out both revolvers and aimed down, waiting for a few moments before pulling the trigger and beaming energy down. This stopped his fault, and then allowed him to fly back down to the bottom of the mountain, where he put back his revolvers into his coat and made a run for it. The source of the Innocence was close, no more then a mile or so away, near the city. Judging from it location, it was near the outskirts and heading for the south district. Since he had detected it first, it would no doubt be his own catch, but he had to act quick. He couldn't allow more innocence to fall into the exorcists hands, not if he wanted his dream to be realized, and definitely not if he wanted to stop his misery.

After only a few minutes of running, he grew tired and looked around. He was already inside the area, and could feel that the akuma was near. Unfortunately, he wasn't positive as to its precise location, so he was exposed to it. He drew out both revolvers then, and readied himself. Just then, something shocking struck him, it was not 1 akuma, but 3! 3 level 3 akumas! There was no way in hell he'd survive in his current health.

Aemi had walked away slowly, but at the exact moment that Yuite felt pain in his hands (even if she had not seen it happen) she immediately felt her eye flair up with flames, much more vigorously than normal. She gasped at the suddenness of the flame and immediately turned, opening the door to Yoite's dorm once more. She saw as plain as day that his window was opened and he was out of sight.

Gasping, she immediately jumped forward, through the window as she fell toward the jagged rocks below. Landing on one without any pain, she looked around for a long moment. Everything was silent and Yoite seemed to disappear from sight. She watched around herself, breathing heavily from the startle of the fall, trying to find the source of the Akuma. As she took a step forward in one direction, the flame in her eye grew larger, so she began to run. Her heart was racing with anticipation -- she knew that she'd get in trouble for leaving without assistance, but Yoite could be in trouble. By the way her flames were raging, she could tell this had to at least be a level 2 that was advancing on level 3.

After running for a long while, she stopped herself to the sound of something slamming against pavement. She turned, seeing an explosion as an Akuma who stood... looking as normal as a human was soaring into the air. She then saw Yoite standing in the middle of the street, watching it from a distance. She could see the confidence in his eyes growing smaller with each second passing. She immediately stepped forward, next to him, looking at him with a reassuring smile.

"We can destroy it. Just try to move around a lot," she spoke, trying to make him feel more confident. She immediately pulled her laser gun out from her belt and held onto the handle firmly, "Innocence, Activate!" she spoke as the cannon began to build itself around her entire arm.

Now that she had arrived and stood beside him, he felt more at ease, but the fear still kept within him. He wasn't so sure that he was strong enough to be fighting yet, and worse off, he couldn't take the innocence for himself any longer. Not with her around at least. Since there was really no alternative, for the moment, he decided he would fight. Without delay, he brought both his revolvers in front of himself, murmuring something lowly to himself. "Blind me, Innocence."

Just as he had murmured these words, his innocence was activated and immediately attracted the attention of the akuma. IN that exact split second while it was distracted, he acted quickly and dashed forward. he was light, so he was very quick on his feet, not to mention agile. He then jumped up high, looking down at the akuma that stood above the human. It was beastly and seemed to be growing stronger by the moment, most likely becoming a level three. Before it could evolve, however, Yoite put both revolvers together and created a Gatling gun out of the two. Without delay, it began firing down at the akuma, shredding it to nothing. The human saw this and ran for their life, leaving only the two of them in the area.

Upon landing, the Gatling disappeared and turned back into two revolvers. He had already taken out one, but the toll was already evident. Even now he was already exhausted, and seemed like he was sick.

As Aemi was distracting the Akuma and then tearing its body apart, she then took it upon herself to end it completely by burning all pieces if possible. She sat on the side, allowing her cannon to warm up as a bright light was forming within it. She then allowed a large, white laser to shoot out and it landed directly on the Akuma as it burned into nothing. As she then looked around, she tried to find the innocence, unsure where it was. It had to be close.

She then looked to Yoite, seeing that he seemed to be sickly exhausted and bit her lip. She immediately pressed a button on her belt as a small gollem flew forward at her. She looked at it in the eyes, "Send finders to search the entire area. We killed the Akuma protecting the innocence. I have to get Yoite back to the Order." she said as she then quickly strode toward Yoite. She could see that he was getting far more exhausted than usual. She immediately -- despite the fact that he may not enjoy it -- put her arm around his shoulders to help him stay up. She then set her cannon down.

"Sit on the cannon like its a horse, and then hold onto me very, very tightly." she commanded gently as she looked to her cannon, pursing her lips. She wondered if he would do what she says, and wondered if he was strong enough to hold on tightly. Since she wasn't sure, she thought it would be best for him to sit in the front so that he could hold onto the cannon while she held himd own.

Just moments before she had reached him, he found a small ruby that seemed to be containing the innocence. Since she had grown too close already, he simply turned and kicked it into one of the holes left behind by his bullet storm, and buried it quickly with his foot. This way, he could come back for it once they where convinced he was well enough to be on his own.

Surprisingly, Aemi had taken him and was supporting him, which terrified him immediately. He remained still then, unwilling to hold onto her for three simple facts. The first was that he was still holding onto his revolvers, feeling unconvinced that there were only three akuma, second being that he was too weak to even attempt to, and lastly, it was against his principles to make willing physical contact with someone he didn't know. But, it didn't seem like he had much of a choice, not if he wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible, and retrieve the innocence, so he did as she instructed.

He sat on the canon, and held onto her with his right arm, using his left to quickly cast a small pebble like object on the ground above the innocence. this would hopefully distort the reading a little, and if they managed to find it, it would activate and turn into a rave that would snatch it away and fly off. This way, he could get it even if they beat him to it. Now feeling a bit better about his plan, he held onto her with his left arm as well, and waited.

Aemi allowed him to sit down across the cannon and sat behind him. She put her arms around him and held onto a hand that was directly in front of him so that they wouldn't fall off. She then looked around and breathed in, "Launch," she said, and quickly, the cannon lifted into the air with a sudden jerk as it flew across the sky, toward the Order.

As they were flying, Aemi looked down with pursed lips, "I'm really nervous now... if anything happens to that innocence before the finders retrieve it, I might be marked for inspection for conspiracy..." she looked back there, "I hope the Akuma wasn't creating a trap and there never was innocence. The last person who was under inspection ended up being killed for 'suspicious behavior'..." she sighed, "The Order doesn't mess around when it comes to protecting innocence... if we have any war of freeing the world of the Earl, we have to find it all."

She seemed rather apprehensive about it -- though she wasn't sure why. She always feared being questioned by the Cardinal, mostly because of his appearance seeming to be slightly intimidating. She always heard rumors about how strict he was and how he doesn't forgive untrusted Exorcists.

Yoite felt a bit of guilt then, but didn't know how to exactly to respond. He couldn't abandon his dream, not after all he had been through, and especially not now that he was getting so close. In the end, he was going to be gone anyways, so her fate wasn't his fault in the least, or so he believed. But, regardless of this, something didn't sit right with him. Most likely the fact that she had been so nice to him, and he was putting her in danger of death over his own selfish reason. Regardless, he wasn't going to abandon his mission, yet.

As they rocketed through the air, he felt a bit nauseous and almost threw up from how odd it held to be flying on such a weapon. It simply wasn't what he was use to, and also felt odd to be on. In fact, on several instances, he nearly fell off, but instead held onto her a bit tighter and closed his eyes to avoid any eye contact that could possibly occur.

As she held onto him, she noticed how incredibly silent he was... until he had gotten sick and nearly flew off. She grabbed onto him to make sure he stayed put and kept a tighter grip on him without suffocating him. She saw the order in range now, and headed a bit higher so that they would land on the roof.

As they got to the Order, she gently allowed it to land on the pavement of the roof and allowed Yoite to calm himself before fully getting up As she sat there for a moment, she sighed as she looked toward the door, "I need to take you to the medical department to make sure you're not too sick... you might have overexerted your innocence... they need to examine it anyways. What exactly is your anti-akuma weapon...?" she asked, tilting her head.

After they had landed safely on the roof, he let go of her and sat up to make sure they where on solid ground now. Since they where, and he saw no problem with the roof, he got off the canon and looked around. It was his first time on the roof, and terrified him to some degree, seeing how large the castle was, and how elevated it was from the town they had just been in.

Just as he was readying to walk down stairs and head back to his room, he was stopped by her words and turned around to see her. He listened carefully, then nodded and was about to take off once more, until he heard Anti-akuma weapon. Once more, he stopped and turned around to face her, then slowly approached her. He didn't speak, and instead drew out both his revolvers and showed them to her. "Triton, and Death Hawk..." He gave her their names, and showed her the cursive lettering's on the side of the revolvers. "They hide inside me sometimes..." This he said while tapping the barrel of Triton onto his chest, exactly where his heart was, where his innocence was.
