Two Unlikely Members on a Mission {Aemi and Kanda}

Aemi made her way to the train station from the Order in silence. She had gotten up early and packed her bags as she got ready to go on her first mission for Asia. Surprisingly, Bak had not paired her up with Devi even though she was her partner for the most part. He said that he wanted to have someone else more "suitable" for the job to go with her. He didn't bother telling her who would be going with her, but it didn't really bother her much.

As much as Aemi hated strangers, she had a feeling she'd know who this person was. She grew up within the European Academy, and from what Bak explained, this person transferred after the destruction of the European Branch. She only wondered who it was... whether it was Lavi, Kanda... or even Allen? She still had no sign of him, but from what she knew, he was now on the run.

She got onto the train in silence and leaned back in her seat as the finders assigned to the mission sat a few seats down, knowing that she was the type of person who hated talking unless she needed to. She was only comfortable talking to her friends, after all. Anyone else, she could care less. She was the type of person who made it obvious that someone was annoying them if she had no intention of being friends with them.

Yu Kanda had came to his partner for this mission he didn't know who he was partnering up with, all he know it could be any person. He came close to the partner for this mission, he was just cold as ever. He just can't get enough pain without the love. He saw who his partner was, he hated this fact. He was very much looking at her, he just wanted to make sure that he was going to figure why her as her partner for this mission. He just didn't blinked at all, he just looked straight at her.

"Why did it have to be you for this mission?" Kanda asked. Kanda was very much had didn't liked the fact they were almost similar in the personalities. "Why did we get partner up for I didn't ask to be your partner who made partners for this mission?" Kanda asked. Why does it have to be her I didn't ask for her since we are too much similar we just won't get along much to get the mission done. Kanda thought. Kanda was mostly had much been looking at her, sighing silently. He was feeling the anger than the misery.

"You better just watch your step. One small thing you be getting my sword to your neck, no matter how small it may seem." Kanda said. He just wanted to make sure that they would get this mission done and over with. He didn't wanted to be her partner for too long.

Aemi stared off into the window and could see a man in an exorcist coat slowly walking toward her. She had a sudden feeling of a grudge come over her as she narrowed her eyes to get a better look at who she was partnered with. It was Yu Kanda. Her jaw dropped for a moment as her fists clenched and she shook her head.

Oh lord, why would Bak partner me with him? He knows Kanda. He knows me. He should know we wouldn't get along every well. Back when Kanda was in the European Branch we practically needed restraining orders... she thought for a moment as she shook her head, obviously frustrated that she would be getting partnered with someone just as stubborn as her. This'll be a long mission...

When Kanda had gotten onto the train, Aemi watched him for a moment as he stared at her, obviously annoyed. Once he had decided to speak, she shook her head, sighing. "Hey, don't look at me, Princess. I didn't pick the partners. I thought I'd be going with my own partner, Devi." Aemi smirked when she had called Kanda 'princess'. This was what she used to call him back at the European branch to piss him off.

When he had then threatened her and told her to watch her step, she glowered at him, getting up and out of her seat as she poked her finger in his face, growling. "You better shut up before I claw your throat out. Touch me with that dirty blade of yours and I'll make sure your permanently dead next time." she then crossed her arms and sat back down with nothing more to say.

Kanda gotten so pissed off that he just looked at her with cold look. He just didn't needed this to be true. He had known that he was able to do that he needed to do about this mission, so he had put his mind in this entire mission. He just wanted to get this mission done and over with. He knew that they never gotten along with each other. He just took his seat across from her. He was still mad from her calling him Princess that irks him so very much. He just wanted to get this over with since he just didn't know what he was going to do about her. They had never gotten so well together at the times when he was with the European Branch.

He just wanted to put that sword of his to her throat. He just wanted to get this mission succeeded without any screw-ups. He just didn't talked for a quite a while. He was thinking of ways that princess thing is pissing him off to the max. He had Mugen with him since this was a mission. He just wanted her to bite her tongue, that she won't call him princess.

"Why do you take pleasure of calling me princess I am very pissed at the moment, that is as worst as calling me by my first name. I hate being called Princess that makes me so mad that it gets underneath my skin. Why do you always love to call me Princess, for?" Kanda said. He doesn't like Millennium Earl at all, or his Akumas. He works with Black Order to keep the humans alive and well.

Aemi sat back down and crossed her legs on the seat as she kept her arms folded near her chest. She tried to blow off the annoyance as Kanda sat down as well. She closed her eyes for a moment and let go of the situation the focus on the task that would be coming at hand once they arrived to to the village where innocence was located.

She suddenly heard Kanda speak toward her once more, asking her why she insisted on calling him Princess. she smirked lightly as her face hid behind her hair when she looked down, but then she looked back up with him with a straight expression, narrowing her eyes when he mentioned that he was angry.

"Look, I know what annoys you and if you get in my face, I'll say what I have to if I want you to just leave me alone. It doesn't seem to be doing much though since you're obviously not going to let go of the situation," she sighed and shook her head, looking out the window to see that the train was now moving and heading toward their destination.

Kanda had looked at her with a look cold look in his eyes, he just wondered why it had to be had to be her for him to be partnered up with for this mission. He just kept his sword at his side. He was very much hadn't liked the fact that he was partnered up with the one person that annoys the hell out of him. He had looked out of the window with the stoic look on his face. He just turned slightly towards at Aemi. There was something about her that reminded him fully of himself.

It was looking in the mirror and seeing your own reflection. He had all these memories of Alma in his head, he just didn't liked the fact Alma turned into an Akuma. I just wanted to feel the pain rather than nothing at all. I am not a friendly person even Allen I fought against to be all kind to Allen. I don't have a kind bone in my body. Kanda thought. He just wondered what he was going to do he just looked at Aemi. "Aemi, you ever meet Beansprout?" Kanda asked. He was calling Allen by his nickname that he gave him.

Aemi was happy to see that Kanda had gotten quiet for a moment. She reclined in her seat as she closed her eyes, letting the motion of the train soothe her. She thought about her time in the order and wondered when she would be heading back to the European branch. She knew very well that the reason she had been assigned to transfer here was to spy on the clergymen, but she had her own mission as well. She had to find out where Allen was.

She sighed silently to herself as she opened her eyes slightly and looked down to her hands. She bit her lip and then looked back out toward the window to see the mountains in the distance as the train followed along a river. The sky was bright in color and it was nearly sunset. She had a sudden pained look in her eyes, and that was when Kanda suddenly spoke. he was asking about Allen.

She turned to him for a moment and grimaced, looking down. She had known Allen very well and they were good friends. When he had transferred... it broke her heart almost. He was the only person who ever treated her as a human rather than as a dog of the Order; at least until she had met Devi. When she first started snooping through the clergymen's files, she found out that Allen was under quarantine... and then escaped.

"I knew him..." she kept the glower on her face as she avoided eye contact, "he was a very good friend of mine... I haven't seen him since all of you left to the Asian Branch." She had a different tone of voice at this moment. It sounded rather sad and hurt. She didn't know why it hurt so much to think about him, but he was someone who she cared dearly for. Knowing that he was in danger worried her sick.

Kanda was looking at the lotus flower that were beside her. He just keeps looking at them everywhere he goes. Kanda focused on the lotus flower, he knew why he kept seeing these lotus flowers. He just couldn't believe it that he was able to see them at first he just tried to get used to them over the time that he was seeing them. He just looked at Aemi, he just wondered why she seem so sad and hurt from that. He knew that she was friends with Beansprout. He just kept his sword in his hand he didn't know how to interact in this situation he just kept looking at her wondering how he was going to say something to make it alright.

He was very much had been looking at the lotus flower that he was looking at for the longest time. He just focused on Aemi, he just saw that she was in such pain about talking about her friend, Beansprout. I wonder what she looks so sad, I am not worried about it. I just wondered why she likes Allen as her friend. I am only trying to get this mission done, this is nuts I can still see the lotus flowers that are appearing in front of me. Kanda thought.

"Lotus Flower beside you." Kanda said. He was looking at the illusion of the lotus flowers. He just wondered why after all these years he was still seeing the lotus flowers. His heart knows what is right, even if he doesn't know to be kind person. Kanda really hated to be called Princess, and Yu. He prefers to be called Kanda more than anything.

He was very much had been focused on the lotus flowers that were part of the illusion that he sees. He wondered if Aemi didn't wanted to work with him since they are so much alike.

Aemi noticed that Kanda was struggling between her own gaze and the area around her. She pursed her lips for a moment as his attention kept changing from the directions and narrowed her eyes. Then he spoke of a lotus and her eye twitched lightly. She remembered the small children who used to laugh at her for throwing lotuses and lily flowers at the doorstep of someone ill because Nagi had told her they had magical properties. From that day on, people kept on pestering her and telling her that she was unintelligent and naive. People would throw dead flowers at her doorstep to mock her and push her down to cover her in dead plants.

She glowered at him as she clenched her fists for a moment, "A-are you trying to make fun of me or something? How do you know about the lotus flower incident?" she growled at him as she looked down with an embarrassed expression. She thought that this part of the past was behind her and she was so afraid that now someone within the Order actually knew of this part of her childhood. She then remembered Claec, her brother who she had not seen in 12 years.

She stayed quiet after that, waiting for a response from Kanda. She half expected him to get up and threaten to attack her once more, or to at least start yelling at her for being hot headed. She also expected him to start teasing her for the childhood events she had with the flowers that she believed were magical for so long.

Kanda had looked at her, the catch a glimpse of the lotus flower. He was very much had been wondering why him mentioning the lotus flowers were making her afraid, he looked at her with a stoic face. He didn't know what to say to make it all okay. Sure he could tell her about him seeing lotus flowers illusions ever since he was experimented on, or about Alma. He sighed, and decided to take it from somewhere. He hadn't know what he was going to do in this situation since this was kind of tough to tell someone that he can see illusions.

"No, I'm not making fun of you, and I don't know about the flower incident. I can see lotus flowers illusion I don't know long that was that I was able to see the illusions of the lotus flowers. There parts of my own past that I haven't told anyone, or the memories I have." Kanda said. He didn't take away from his focus away from her. He just wondered if that would comfort her. He kept his sword to his side, he just didn't feel like teasing her would be come to be the best result.

He just looked at her, he couldn't tell her that he was created that he was really eleven years old in a twenty-one year old body. He was very much rather not even told her about his memories of Alma those kind of memories are painful he had to kill her since she was an Akuma. He just looked at her with a stoic face.

Aemi listened to him as he spoke of these illusions he used to have of lotuses. She bit her lip as she wondered to herself how they could have possibly been this related in terms of past and personality. She knew that she and he had very similar personalities and that they tried to avoid talking to others as much as possible, but now they were connected in terms of a simple lotus flower?

She simply stared at him with not words on what to say. She just couldn't believe the fact that they had this much in common; it was almost scary. She looked down for a moment as she sighed to herself and then tried to recollect herself to come up with the words to say to him.

"It seems we have a lot more in common than we think," she murmured just loud enough for him to hear. "I may not see illusions of lotus flowers, but I can see it had a distinct impact on your childhood, just as it did with mine." She didn't speak after that, just waiting to see how he would reply to her with that in mind.
