Innocence Search [Aemi and Yoite]

Aemi had woken up at the Order that morning and was immediately asked to come to the Order Room. When she had gotten dressed and walked down there, it seemed to be a long moment of silence until the chief had finally spoke. He had told her that there have been strange phenomenas in Verona, Italy, and that she should find out what has been going on. She agreed to this mission by herself, along with a Finder who would split up with her and keep track with golems.

When Aemi left the Order, she had arrived to the train station near by; one that would take her straight to Verona. She had gone into her solitary cart, awaiting for the train to leave as she watched the many people walk along the sidewalks. She wondered what everyone was thinking and where everyone was going. Soon after, there was a knock on the door, and she saw that it was the Finder who was assigned to her. She allowed them to enter, but wouldn't speak a word.

As the train began to move, she sat there with a sullen expression, not speaking to the Finder. She only listened when they explained what phenomenas were going on and etc. She kept her face etched to the window, watching the many different sceneries fly by, many of them looking like beautiful fairytale lands. After many hours of traveling though, it began to grow uncomfortable, and she was growing impatient.

When Aemi and the Finder had arrived to Italy, they immediately got off of the train and headed out of the station and into the city. The Finder went in his own direction as Aemi began her separate search. She walked around, fascinated by all the architecture and monuments that were displayed all around the town. She could smell the baked bread from the bakery that was near by as she walked, and it made her crave for something to eat. She knew that she had a mission to complete, though, and that was her first priority. As she walked the sidewalks, she wondered what she would find; there were so many strange things going on here, she didn't know where to start.

In the city of Verona, traveled a solitary man in rather gloomy attire. His face showed no emotion, and his steps were each carefully taken. his man was no other then a member of the Bookman Clan, Yoite, traveling in search of something significant worth recording. So far, all he had was his own travel, which he had recorded in his own personal journal.

After an hour of aimless wandering, he found that there was a sudden change in the air and had a feeling that something was about to unfold. He stopped then, and looked around for a sign of some sort. He had stopped at an intersect, so he had a good view of the surrounding area, and a good idea of where he was. Without warning, there was a sudden explosion and the sound of a screaming crowd. Yoite turned in the direction instinctively, and took no delay in running to the source. The closer he got, the more people he saw running, and bodies that had been turned to charcoal from the intense fires.

Once he was at the source, he found that an Akuma was standing about, looking to find something. Yoite didn't doubt for a second that it was looking for innocence. Since he himself had innocence, he decided to hide and watch from a distance, to record this event. But before he could do so, the AKuma had spotted him and laughed maniacally. It spoke something, but Yoite couldn't hear a single word that had escaped its grotesque mouth. Before he knew it, the beast was charging at him, growling as it attempted to charge him and take a bite out of him. Luckily, he wasn't as weak as he appeared. As it came, he simply side stepped and let it run past, then rose up his left arm and made a fist. His index finger, however, remained up, pointing at the back of its head. Firing a blast of energy, he shot it in the back of the head and caused it to die instantly. It fell and skidded on the ground, shredding its body until nothing more then a battered up skeleton was left.

The towns people were relieved at first, but then figured he was one as well and began to form a mob. Fearing the physical contact of being captured, Yoite ran for his dear life, weaving through alleys and streets until he had reached a good street or two away from the train station. Rather then continuing to run, he topped and hid in an alley, taking a crude cardboard box, and holding it up content with that as a camouflage. From the looks of how he kept so calm, one would think he thought it was a disguise that could fool the gods themselves, but the truth was, he thought they were stupid enough to believe him. What made it more childish, was the fact that he was sitting with his knees to his chest. No doubt, anyone with a brain would catch him immediately.

Aemi had been walking around for quite some time, when she felt something was strange about the surrounding area. She looked around and saw that there was a large explosion only several blocks away. Gasping, she ran quickly toward it, recognizing that it was an Akuma. As she approached it, she came to a halt to see that it was somehow struggling as it ran and came to a stop. She wasn't sure why, and she looked around, seeing a slender boy who looked her age, pointing his finger in its direction and shooting at him with energy that seemed to come out of nowhere.

Her eyes widened, unsure what to think as the Akuma had died instantly and the crowd began to grow calm... and then turn to the boy and close in on him. She wasn't sure what had happened, so she narrowed her eyes, watching as he seemed to panic and run off. As he ran, she knew that something was different about him... something that may have to do with innocence. She ran after him quickly, but kept herself at a far enough distance so that if he looked back, he wouldn't assume that she was following.

When he had hid in the alleyway, Aemi had lost track of him for a moment and looked into each alleyway slowly, keeping her eyes narrowed in focus. She didn't say a word, unsure what she would have to say anyways. She kept a curious look across her face as she walked, seeing that each alleyway was a dead end with nothing but trash cans on the side. She then reached one of the alleyways that seemed to have a few cardboard boxes in it.... one with a person sitting in it. She walked up slowly, seeing that it was, in fact, the same boy who had killed the Akuma.

She tried to keep herself in a gentle matter -- she didn't know how he acted, and didn't want to annoy him, piss him off, or scare him. She looked as gentle as possible as she approached him slowly, trying to think of something to saw as she grew closer. When she got in front him, she watched him, looking at his appearance and seeing that he was rather attractive to be someone who appeared homeless.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" she asked at first, unsure what to say, "How did you kill that... that Akuma back there...?"

Despite how obviously she had shown up at the alley way, he hadn't seemed to have noticed at all. For a few seconds, in fact, it looked as if he was about ready to take a nap in the comfort of the protective box. Just before he could, however, he was disturbed by a feminine voice that spoke to him in a gentle tone. He tried to ignore this, but was quickly asked a second question. He knew then and there that she wouldn't leave him alone.

If she was trained enough, she could sense that the innocence was in fact coming from him. Only, it didn't seem to focus on one place in his body at all, but rather, his entire body seemed to have become the innocence. This was unusual, but untrue. Reality was, it was his heart that held the innocence, and since it pumped his blood, it channeled it through his entire body. Not only that, but it also allowed him to further control his abilities and use them in long range techniques.

A few seconds after he had heard her begin to question him, he closed his eyes and looked like he was about to speak. His lips parted, then he simply closed them once more and squirmed a little. Rather then attempting to run away from her, he snuggled in deeper into the box, so that it appeared as if he had sunk inside it, and then reached up and onto the sides of the box. Surprisingly, he had taken hold of the flaps of the card board shelter, and pulled them over so that the top of the box was closed. This was also very childish of him, but he hoped that by doing this she would miraculously forget he existed and would walk away without further questioning. The last thing he wanted was to be captured and burned on a stake for witch craft.

Aemi saw that he had looked at her and then gaped his mouth open to appear as though he'd begin speaking. He then slowly began to sink into the box though, closing it behind him. Aemi narrowed her eyes once more, confused by what he was doing. Was he a mute? Or was he uneducated? He seemed to act like a child to her, but in a way, it was intriguing. She couldn't help but let out a small peep of a giggle, but quickly stopped herself, afraid she might embarrass or anger him.

She knew that he did have innocence, she now could sense it more than ever. She felt saddened for having to do this, but unfortunately, this meant she'd have to take custody of him to the Black Order. She knew that he probably wouldn't agree to go with her either, since he seemed to be so shy of attention or contact.

"I'm not going anywhere... but I promise, I'm not going to hurt you. I'm an exorcist, I'm here to help," she assured him as she sat there, seeing that the box had not budged, "I do however... unfortunately need to take custody of you... not to imprison you, but to bring you to a place to stay. At least then, you'll have a nice bed to sleep on."

She awaited for a response for a moment, but saw that the box still had not budged. She sighed as she put her hands on it, lifting it up slowly so that she could look inside at him. She looked at him with a gentle smile (even though she knew it was fake; she had not truly ever smiled in over a decade) and held her hand out, hoping he'd grab it. "Can you speak...? I just need a response to know what your opinion of this is..."

He remained quiet, hearing her speak to him as he laid there in the box. After he had heard what she had to say, he sighed lowly to himself and opened his eyes. His hunch had been confirmed, she did want to capture him and take him somewhere, a place he might not even like, and no doubt more people would be there, people he wanted to avoid.

As the lid of the box was opened, he reached into his coat and pulled out a revolver. In the split second before his cover was blown, he checked if it had bullets, then rose it up and sat up. He pointed the barrel at her face, wanting to seem as if he'd kill her if she tried anything else. Truly, though, the pistol contained no bullets, and he didn't feel like using energy to fire his own bullets. With the gun to her face, he made eye contact for the first time and watched her. He had to admit, she was rather cute, but she looked like she could go on rambling for hours, and like she was the type of girl to hug randomly. Since he had no desire for these qualities in a companion, he made his decision and got up in the box.

"I don't want to go." He spoke in a very soft and monotonous tone of voice. It seemed saddened, but then again, so did he. Just before she could respond, he lowered his revolver from her face and turned quickly to run out of the alley way. For a moment, it seemed like eh would make it out successfully, but he had forgotten an important factor, he was still inside the box. Needless to say, he had tripped and smacked head first against the concrete floor, and knocked himself unconscious. Seemed like he would be out for quite a while.

Aemi looked at him as he stood in the box, pulling out a revolver. As he pointed the barrel to her face, her eyes widened slightly as she stood still, watching him. She was just trying to be nice; it was something she hardly ever showed. She was particularly a blunt and cold person, but she sympathized those who were new exorcists who didn't choose their fate. As he kept the gun in her face, she stayed silent, involuntarily tensing up, as though he'd shoot any moment.

As he then spoke and pulled the revolver from her face and looked down, she nodded, sighing. She didn't want to do it this way. She'd have to get aggressive now -- and she didn't want him to be angry with her. As he then turned to run off, he fell flat on his face and knocked unconscious. Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped as she saw this and started laughing uncontrollably out of impulse, unsure what to do. She had never seen someone so clumsy.

As the laugh then rolled off her shoulders, she then quickly picked him up and began running as fast as she could toward the train station. She'd need to get him there quickly so that she could get back before she wakes up. Her mission was to find innocence, and she did. As she made it back, her gollem had informed the Finder that she was returning, and he had met her there. As they entered the train, they binded his legs and arms together so that he would not be able to escape if he were to wake up. They then went into the cart and headed back to headquarters. Aemi did not speak after that, and didn't intend to, either.

Yoite obviously didn't resist, and remained unconscious and limp for several hours. Once he had regained consciousness, he opened his eyes and found that he was in a moving room. This immediately terrified him. Since he was captured now, he decided to be cautious and look to see who was in the room. The girl from before, and a person he couldn't make out well, who carried a phone on their back. This seemed stupid to him, but he didn't speak. Instead, he closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep.

He waited a few seconds, before the rail-road got a bit bumpy and suddenly jolted up. In this exact moment, he was knocked out of the bed and fell on his face onto the floor. No doubt they had all heard or seen this, so he stopped pretending. After sitting up, he cleared his throat and coughed a bit, then licked his lips to moisten them before struggling to get back in his seat.

Once he had sat back down, he couldn't help but feel incredibly thirsty, probably from all the action he had experienced in one day, and then it struck him. His journal, he had to record this before he forgot. Uncaring if they saw, he squirmed and used his teeth to take a small booklet from his coat, and set it on the floor. He then got on his knees and pulled out a pet. After he laid down on his stomach, he flipped to the next new page in the journal, and began to write with his mouth. Surprisingly, he was writing quickly with excellent penmanship.

Aemi sat on the train and didn't talk to the Finder at all. She just sat there staring out the window, unsure what to do. She was awaiting to return to the Order so she could get away from everyone and take a long nap. She also wanted to read in the library, something she did very often.

Aemi noticed as Yuite suddenly fell forward, awakened and then sat back up in a swift movement. She watched him with a confused look, unsure how to react and sharply looked toward the Finder to make sure he didn't laugh to offend him. She then looked back at him, seeing that he suddenly looked surprised as he pulled a notebook from his coat and then took a pen and wrote with his teeth. Her eyes widened to this; his penmanship was perfect, and he was writing with his mouth.

As she looked closely at what he was writing from afar, it looked as though he was writing a diary entry about what he sees everyday. That's when her eyes widened and she leaned forward with a confused look, "You're a Bookman, aren't you," she spoke with a sullen expression, "Well that's dandy, we're in custody of someone who may very well betray our asses." she rolled her eyes.

He stopped suddenly as she said this, seeming to have taken a hug offense of this comment of hers. It was something he heard everywhere he went, that he was a traitor and he had a place reserved for him at the lowest pits of hell. It was depressing and very insulting to him. It wasn't like he had an option in the first place, it was either that or die. But obviously, no one cared for his story.

Unlike other bookman, Yoite made it a habit to add a little side comment at the end of all his journals, and this one had probably been the most depressing once she would read. Written in small letters at the very last line, he had written: "Once more, I have been judged for my profession, and ostracized. This might be my final entry." Then, he spat down the pen and closed the booklet. His eyes shifted to the windows. They were large enough for him to jump through, so he stood up and looked out at the scenery.

It was rocky and very blurry, so he could hardly make out any of the objects of the floor. No doubt, if he jumped, he would die instantly. But dying wasn't enough for him. Just seconds before he was about to charge at the glass window, he straightened his posture and walked back to his seat, closing his eyes and bowing his head in shame. It seemed like she had truly insulted him now.

Aemi saw that he was deeply offended by what she had said, but didn't know how to apologize. She looked at him awkwardly as he walked away after finishing his entry and felt bad after seeing what it had said. She looked around with pursed lips for a moment before he had disappeared.

As he came back, he sat back down, seeming to have a lifeless gaze that made her feel like she had a knife to her throat. She sighed as she tried to keep her stare away from him, but the expression he had acted as though it was shredding her heart in two. The Finder looked at her like she was crazy for feeling so sorrowful suddenly.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know it upsets you that much to hear that. It's just that the last Bookman who entered the Order betrayed us quite brutally and got more than half of our Exorcists in the American branch killed," she sighed. She knew he probably still hated her and didn't care for her apology, but she did want him to know she was sorry. "I'm pretty awkward when it comes to talking to people, so I tend to offend people a lot. That's why I just choose to keep quiet most of the time."

Hearing this only made it worse for him. Anger began to swell up inside him, but he quickly forced it back down and focused on clearing all his emotions. Unfortunately, he couldn't get her words out of his head, especially her excuse. He nearly got up and slapped her for that, but instead, he simply opened his eyes and looked down at his own feet.

"The last Exorcist i knew killed my parents, ruined my fathers life, and nearly killed me. Yes, despite this, I know better then to judge all of your kind in this loop. I know most of you didn't chose to be one, only a select few do. Just like them, I was forced to walk down this path." He was about to add more, but felt too depressed to even speak to her anymore. Instead, he turned in his seat and looked out the window miserably, hoping a thunder bolt would just fly in and smite him where he sat. It was all too depressing.

For as long as he could remember, bookman were considered sneaky and sly traitors who did things to cause destruction, but not all of them did. he certainly never had any intention of doing so. In fact, he had done the exact opposite just moments ago, and no doubt she had seen. So it made no sense. How could she judge him so carelessly after having observed that, even after he had spared her life. It wasn't right. It simply wasn't right that he was damned to such a wretched existence. Many times before, like now, he had contemplated suicide, but, it seemed empty. Even if he did die, then what? He would be damned to hell for all his worldly sins. Sins he had been forced to commit in order to live. The only thing that would ever make him happy, was if he had never existed, then, he would have no need to be so negative and depressed. It would all be over.

Aemi looked down as she heard him speak and felt slightly ashamed of herself for speaking on impulse so often. She pursed her lips, looking out the window for a long moment as she sighed, trying to think of something to say, but nothing seemed to come to mind. She simply listened to him and then awaited for the silence to take over. The time passed very slowly, and not even moments later, she looked back up at him.

"I'm sorry, again. I was stupid to say that," she sighed as she looked down once more. For some odd reason, his gaze was intimidating to her, and she couldn't explain why. She just decided that it was best to leave him alone, rather than force a conversation from him. If he wanted to be left alone, she'd respect that of him.

He didn't reply to this, instead, he remained silent and still. It seemed like he was a lifeless corps, simply sitting there. Despite his cold and uncaring composure, he was actually quite sensitive to being insulted like this. It was not a matter of caring, or even feelings, but respect. To him, it was disrespectful to make such an assumption on someone, simply because he was a Bookman, regardless of past encounters with others of his profession.

After about an hour or so, the only movements Yoite had made, were turning his head to look out the window, and occasionally adjusting his hat so that the bill would cast a shadow over his eyes. This gave him a rather dark image, and would drive any normal person to question what he was attempting to hide.

The train suddenly began to slow then, and the loud blow of a whistle was hear from a few yards of them. They could now see that the train was making its way into the station, slowly coming to a halt before releasing another loud whistle. Steam blew from the sides, then the passengers began to exit the train. Their journey was now over, but, now the real troubling part was to begin. No doubt he was going to be escorted to their head quarters. Regardless of how much he didn't want to go, he wasn't going to resist. They had both his Anti-akuma weapons, so for now he would cooperate.

Aemi had saw that he decided not to respond and breathed out in a sigh. She wasn't sure if she should say anything else or not, but decided to remain quiet so that she didn't continue to offend or annoy him. As she watched him for a small moment, she had noticed he barely moved for the next few hours. She looked out the window for the next few moments as the trains slowed.

When the train had came to a stop, she saw another Exorcist and several finders outside waiting for them. When she had gotten up, she went over to Yoite and lifted him up gently, turning him to guide him as they got off the train. The finder walked behind them as they had gotten out into the station, heading out with the other finders and Exorcist.

As they started to head toward the Order, Aemi watched Yoite's expression with pursed lips, unsure what to say. She sighed as she walked and then shook her head, looking down. "I'm Aemi, by the way. What's your name?" she asked as gently as possible.

Yoite was careful not to trip as he walked, keeping his gaze lowered at his feet for the simple fact that he didn't want to make eye contact with the people around him. They were all treating him like something he didn't want to be, a prisoner. He had not done anything wrong, so why was it that they treated him this way?

Hearing the female, who had called herself Aemi, speak to him, he listened and contemplated on answering her question. He didn't get it, first she had captured and disarmed him, and now she was asking for his name. It was illogical to him. Regardless, he mumbled his response to her, in a low and humble tone of voice. "Yoite..." Was all he said, no last name, no middle name. His name was just Yoite.

Aemi nodded as he spoke his name, "Yoite..." she mused for a moment as she then looked up at him, "I like it." she smiled slightly as she then kept her gaze ahead. She watched as he walked, seeing that he seemed to be uncomfortable. Her smile dispersed and she then looked tot he others before looking back at Yoite.

"If I untied your arms from behind, would you promise not to run away? You just don't look comfortable..." she asked. She really didn't want him to feel as though he was being imprisoned. She wanted him to feel as comfortable as possible. She knew he was probably going to take a while to get through to, but she hoped she'd be able to him.

As she took a small knife from her pocket out, she watched him, awaiting his response to her question of the untying. She then looked over to the others, who shrugged. She knew that if he tried to run, they'd be able to catch him... she just hoped he wouldn't try. She wanted him to feel like he could trust them.

Hearing this, he stopped dead in his tracks, and rose his gaze up at her face. For a few moments, it looked like he was simply going to look away and continue to walk, but instead he replied to her as simply as he could. "I have no business running away, I can't leave without Triton and Death Hawk. For now, you have me at your mercy. I will comply to your demands...."

he remained silent then, and lowered his gaze back onto the floor. For some reason, he couldn't help but feel as if he was being forced into something he wouldn't be able to walk away from. It seemed like this was his destiny, to continue forward and never go back. It was terrifying, but he didn't have a choice. not now, nor ever, so there was no point in resisting its flow any longer.

Aemi nodded as she slowed her walk behind him and took the knife, lifting his hands that were tied by the wrist. She then cut the rope, avoiding his flesh from getting cut successfully. She then put the knife back into her pocket and didn't speak anymore. She just looked up into the horizon to await the sight of The Order.

As the time passed, they had walked about two miles before a large mountain came into scene, a long range of mountainous terrain behind it. On the peak of the largest mountain appeared to be a large building. She smiled lightly as they walked and looked to the others who began to speed up. She wondered how Yoite would like the Order; there were other Bookman exorcists that were occupied there, as well as others who had similar personalities as him. There were many friendly people within the order and she hoped that he'd warm up to them.

As they begin their long climb, he let his arms dangle at his side, still keeping the silent ask, regardless of a few finders who had offered to help him. Despite his good stamina and endurance, he was feeling a bit faint at the altitude. It was something he wasn't quite use to. What made it worse, was that he hadn't eaten in a few days, and his malnourished body couldn't take much more of it.

Just as they had reached the large gates of the castle, he rose his gaze up and took it all in. It was a beautiful sight, and looked lonesome, but he knew it wasn't the case. He took a few more steps, then suddenly stopped and coughed a bit. "I'm sorry..." He mumbled out of nowhere, then something occurred. Now that he had reached the gates, he let go and suddenly collapsed onto the floor. It appeared as if he had tired out and fainted of exhaustion and hunger. Obviously, he would not awaken for a few hours.

Aemi was walking beside him in silence, watching as the Order building grew closer with every step. They still had a ways to go, but she didn't grow very tired. Soon after her lost thoughts, she heard Yoite apologize, but she was unsure why. She then watched as he collapsed in front of her. Gasping, she ran over to him, kneeling in front of him to make sure his face had still been getting air. She felt for a heartbeat and breathing patterns, which she found easily, as the other Exorcist and finders had ran over.

After some time arguing, The other Exorcist, along with herself had picked Yoite up to carry him the rest of the way. When they had arrived to the Order, Aemi was then ordered to take Yoite to his dorm, and to watch over him when he had awoken. She did what she was told, taking him immediately to his dorm to rest in his bed. She sat on the other bed, which was unoccupied, awaiting for him to wake up so that she could take him to get checked up for immunizations and to get something to eat.

Yoite fell into a deep sleep, and found himself dreaming of the past. He stood in a small room, looking around to see what he could find. There was a broken mirror to the left of him, so he walked to it and saw his reflection. He was young, roughly around 5 years old, but already looked like a patient of clinical depression. He couldn't help but feel saddened to be in this room alone, simply looking at the dark surroundings.

A door opened just the, which cast a light over him and onto the mirror. He could immediately hear the sounds of footsteps, but was unaware as to who it was. Looking up, he found a women and a man standing above him, his parents, and immediately became scared. He began stepping back in fear, only to get slapped hard across the face and fall over. His landing was worse, as he fell into the mirror and got cut by the shards. Despite this, he wasn't crying, only seemed scared and lonely. He received another blow, this time to the gut, and fell forward, groaning in agony as he began to puke from the mere pain of it all. Unable to fight back, he began to run away, slowly crawling out of the door.

Once he had exited, he found the man and woman sitting on a couch, watching the TV. They turned to see him, and scoffed in disgust before the man trhew a glass bottle at him and spoke to him. "I wish you had died Sora. I wish you didn't exist." His mother only cried and then looked at him, shaking her heard before spitting at him. "Why did you ruin our lives? Sora?! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO BE BORN!?"

There was a piercing element to these words, that seemed to crush him and echo endlessly in his mind, but, before he knew it, he was standing and felt a sharp pain on his abdomen. He looked down slowly, and found a kitchen knife in his stomach, and his mother standing before him. He tried choking out a few words, but then found that someone had grabbed him by the collar and jerked him back. The knife was pulled out somehow, he couldn't see who had pulled it out, then he felt himself being carried.

Only moments later, he was spinning, watching blurs of gray, dark blue, and green fly by before he heard a sudden thud and found that everything had gone pitch black. In this darkness, he could hear his parents beckoning for him to die, pleading for him to have never existed. They echoed over and over simultaneously, until finally he awakened.

He awoke now, quickly sitting up screaming as he reached up and held onto his head, begging for them to let him die. "NO NO NO! NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! STOP IT! I DON'T WANT TO DIE! PLEASE! I DON'T WANT TO EXIST ANYMORE!" In his confusion, he fell out of bed and began trying to crawl to the corner of the room, begging still for his existence to end. He succeeded and reached the corner quickly, curling up as he cried and hugged his knees. A rather dramatic change from moments ago, but it seemed like this memory was enough to reduce him to a frighten child.

Aemi's eyes widened as she sat there and was startled by Yoite screaming for his life. She watched him as her mouth gaped open and he had fallen over and crawled into the corner, crying. She watched him, her eyes suddenly lowering to him, with a face full of sympathy. She barely knew him, but could see his heart breaking right in front of her; and it made her feel horrible for him.

She got up quietly and knelt down in front of him slowly, watching him. She had a gaze full of friendliness and longingness as she put her hands down over his, trying to speak as gently as possible, "You're going to be okay, it was only a dream. He immediately pulled away from her, scared that she was going to hurt him as well. It was obvious by his low whimpering that he was deathly afraid of making contact, especially with her hands on his. Just as she had spoken, he only grew more frantic and began to thrash a bit, hitting the walls in fear and confusion. "I DON'T WANT TO DIE! I WON'T WANT TO LIVE! I WANT TO STOP EXISTING! I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE ANYMORE!" He shouted now, then quickly lunged at the side and to the other corner.

Rather then staying here this time, he lunged a second time and slid right under the bed, and remained there. His low whimpers could still be heard, along with his chattering teeth from the fear of being hurt or touched. It seemed like it would take a bit to get him to come out.

Aemi watched him as he began to shake slightly, and while in the midst of speaking to him, he began to scream, which startled her. Immediately as her hands were thrashed away, he began to rage and the slid from her, hiding under his bed. Aemi's face went from confused to worried abruptly as she then slowly crawled toward the bed.

She waited there for a few moments, listening to make sure that his whimpers and breathing had calmed down -- she didn't want him to freak out into a heart attack. As she waited for him to silence, she watched around herself, seeing that the room was dimly lit by a single lamp; the window showed a small amount of sunlight from the sunset outside.

She sighed as his breaths had gotten quieter and then closed her eyes. "Please, I'm not trying to hurt you. I promise, I'll never intend to harm you or make you feel unsafe. You're going to be fine here..." she was getting more agitated, but she wasn't feeling impatient. She knew exactly how he felt, for she had acted the same way when she had first arrived.
