"Please tell me where she is! This is urgent and she needs to return back to the European Branch immediately! We have critical information that we need her to analyze for a mission that she is required to go on!" Josiah slammed his hands onto the desk as he looked down, his hair covering his face. He was clearly frustrated with the fact that Aemi had been transferred on such short notice. When he had found out, he quickly took a train to follow and retrieve her.
Bak narrowed his eyes at the man who was standing before him and shook his head, sighing. "I'm sorry, Josiah, I told you! She's currently on a mission and she'll be back shortly. Just wait a few days, there shouldn't be that much of a rush for her to come home. Komui was the one who sent her and her partner here, anyways. You should respect that she can't always be by your side--"
"Partner? She has a partner who's not me?" Josiah's eyes widened. "You're kidding! I've watched her grow up and she always went on missions with me and she has a new partner already?!" He couldn't tell if he was more surprised that he didn't know or if he was hurt that he couldn't keep Aemi to herself. She was the closest friend he had, after all.
"Yes, let's see... her partner is Devi. She is the accomodator of the Bookman's Ring." Bak nodded.
"The Bookman's ring... oh, her... well I guess I can approve of that..."
It was silent for a long moment and Josiah sighed as he turned around for a moment, "Just... tell Aemi when she gets back that I'm here and I need to see her urgently. We'll need to return back to the European Branch immediately when that time comes. I guess Devi will have to come back as well since they're partners and all..."
"Will do," Bak nodded as Josiah closed the door behind him. He was obviously upset that he had just found out all this information and none of it was told to him beforehand. Komui knew that Aemi was like a sister to him, so why was he not informed? He decided to wait around, just hoping she'd finish her mission sooner than later.
